SHIFT GNG is a coalition with members from all sectors of the community – parents, youth, schools and youth-serving organizations, law enforcement, businesses, faith communities, media, and health care providers – mobilizing to prevent and reduce substance use among youth.

Parents: You are the number one influence in your teen's life. Talk to them often
about the dangers of drugs and alcohol, and your rules and consequences for using. -
Community Members: Help protect the kids in your neighborhood.
Don't make alcohol available to anyone under age 21. -
Businesses: Look at your business with a critical eye to identify potential
ways youth could access alcohol. Set written policies and train staff. -
Adults who work with youth: Counter the negative messages and pressure
youth receive by modeling healthy choices and positive ways to handle stress.
